Traffic jam on the bike path.
10.26.13, scenes from the morning commute home. State Street was emptier, cleaner, and quieter than I have ever seen it. Would love a compare and contrast following FreakFest.
Morning sun over the Yahara; fall colors on the Capital City Trail
Map of the day. 15.3 miles.
It would have been a longer ride if not for the double digit headwinds.
Most of my ride this morning. The first 5 mile leg was rudely ended by a flat tire, but thanks to the awesome service at Machinery Row, we were on our way in no time. Finished the morning with a burger and some beers at Mickey’s. All in all a beautiful day in a beautiful city.
I mangled my bike this morning. The kind folks at Willy Street Bikes assured me it will be ready in time for the Titanium Classic next weekend. In the meantime, I’m riding a (very squeaky) rental bike around the city today. 16.4 miles and counting…. Currently taking a beer break at Fitchburg Great Dane.
My afternoon commute.
A peek at Lake Monona from Olin-Turville Park; Lake Monona and the city skyline from Olin Park; RP’s Pasta; the whimsical statues on Atwood.
My morning commute.
Dixon Greenway on the Starkweather Creek Path; Atwood Community Gardens and Cafe Zoma on the Capital City Trail, Lake Monona from the Terrace, and Monona Bay, taken in Brittingham Park.
